This is a shame for India and the so called ' Indian Democracy '. The 'powers' that be must take note of this spectacular statement by Maya, the CM of UP.
When Maya has gone on the splurge of spending crores of rupees on statues of self and her peers around the entire state of UP, even in utter defiance of the Supreme Court rulings against such wastage of Tax Payer's money, it is a shame for us citizens of this great democracy to see such spectacular statements from our leaders.
Sir Winston Churchill was partly wrong when he had said to Clement Atlee on the debate whether to give independence to India or not " You are handing the reins of hungry millions in the hands of men of straw.................... Sir Winston Churchill should have realised that women like Maya were bound to put the 'men' he was talking about to UTTER SHAME. And it has happened. Sixty people have died wastefully all having been in a hurry to lay their hands on one 'laddoo' and a steel plate.
The straw that is re-enforcing our democracy, which we like to boast as the biggest democracy in the world with Electronic Voting Machines et al, is very thinly spread and will be the cause of the mega collapse that the world is yet to see.
And, as if above is not important, we are seen to be heavily venting our SPLEENs on the pros and cons of MF Hussain taking the Qattari Citizenship. I say cheers to MF for having the had the foresight to desert the 'sinking ship', even at this late stage in his life.

It is not ENOUGH that GOOD n HONEST persons contest elections.

Wherein, even a dishonest person is forced to be honest or to QUIT.
Only through PPS can such 'honest system of governance' be identified and accepted.
