Oscar,

There have been many individual Goans who have appreciated the PPS initiative privately, thanks to them.

But you are the only Goan who has gone public in support of PPS and solicited support for for it.

Thank you, indeed.

My bone feeling is that PPS is on the right track and Goans will take it forward to make it the revolution in Goan politics that dear concerned Goans have been waiting for.

The important thing is that the Salcete Goans have realised it and shall be sitting at a 2nd all Goa NGO/Citizen's meet at Grace Church Hall on 9 May 2010 at 4.30 p.m.
to chalk-out its future move to culminate into an all Goa PPS Convention sometime in September/October, 2010.

Hi Roger,

You have made a valid point! I am sure Mr. Rene Barreto and rest of us will put our efforts towards the need of the hour - to salvage what is left of us Goans!!

We need to get behind the PPS (People for Political Sanity) movement which is underway. I know of Mr. Floriano Lobo who is working hard on this issue. On a similar vein, there are other Goans who are working

hard to restore what is left of us Goans. A prominent Goan that comes to mind is our Minguel Braganza and I am confident there are others as well.

Goans who have settled abroad should support those who are genuinely working for Goa – be it morally as well as financially instead of lamenting about Goa and its state. The Freedom Fighters should have done

much more. Perhaps the dole that they get from the government is the cost of silence.

Rene with his contacts with Goan Associations throughout the world could pioneer a move to ask those organisations to review their dinosaur age constitutions and begin sharing the huge bank balances that have

been built over the years just accruing interest to show the effectiveness of the Committee of the day.

Cheers

Oscar C. Lobo

Dear Mr. Barreto,

Thank you for sharing Ms. De's views on playing a major role in the
long term progress for Goa.

Given your position in the World Alliance of Goan Associations
shouldn't you and the different Associations be more vocal in speaking
out against the various Mining and Real Estate Lobbies that have our
Goa Government and Government Officials in their pockets? Shouldn't
the Goan Associations be doing more in this regard?

Lending your voice would make a great deal of a difference. While
cantaram and sanna-sorpotel and organizing socials and dances is all
very well fun and frolic, we need to look at getting involved in Goan
social issues, protecting our Goan Environment and speaking out on
these issues in support of our Goan brothers and sisters.

Any thoughts on this?
