What a fantastic coincidence that there should be an editorial today in GT by Rahul Goswami on lines similar to what I visualised for Goa. I dont buy GT & so I had not read it. What Rahul has not said is why did the people all leave ? This is where you have very aptly brought in the very basic necessity of life i.e water and woven it into the health scenario staring at us. Daily I am hearing of new cancer cases - cancer in the jaw, in the throat, neck etc.
I hope you will get wide audience of thinkers who will take up this issue on the ground and on the net. I have written to RD Khalap & chairman of the group who want to formulate law for real estate constructions & told them there will be no buyers once would be buyers test the ground water that they will drink. and that their whole exercise is redundant.I will dig out to send you this copy. I wish you write to editors of other newspapers in Goa and the tourism depts etc . I will provide the ph reagent for the doubting Thomases how our water is already unfit to drink & cook with , even to bathe in.
