Comments:

I had said a long time ago, and if someone will check the archives it will be there glaring in the face.

What I had said is that if every overseas Goan, irrespective of where in the world he is, puts aside $1 in a hat for Goa and keep it there until a revolution comes up in Goa, that $1 will go a long way to finance the guillotines to slice the necks of these Goan political marauders.

That has not happened and is not going to happen. Here, the ground reality is that the big money comes from MINING. The mining corporates decide who will form the next government. The big loot finances the 40 alibabas. So much for the tall talk that expat goans are giving us. If we in Goa have to finance the revolution in Goa, we will not only have to sell our wives and daughters but our dear kastis too.

Anthony, you are right on dot.

PS: Note is also taken that the expat Goan have been bled so often by thrifty politicians and the likes for so called Goan Causes that they are "once bitten twice shy". I shall give that to them. However, in Godfrey's case, he is not a Goan but a lover of Goa who cannot see what is happening to Goa. Will the Goans assemble some guts and rise up?? is all he is asking..... I feel.

Godfrey Pereira's empty rhetoric did not impress me. In fact Goa is indeed heading for all types of trouble but what Goa needs is not rhetoric from high pedestals across the seas. What we need is some action on the home front. We don't need overseas-settled advisors who take the liberty to offer us unsolicited advice on how we should protect ourselves and our beloved land.
Some of these f**king overseas Goans from the cozy comfort of their luxury life always find themselves in the preaching mode. Perhaps it is their way of entertaining themselves lost in an alien land they cannot connect.
But they certainly have better ways to show they care. Tell me what overseas organisation is walking for the Goan cause. Most are sefish, self-seeking parasites out to draw blood the easy way. If I had the patience and inclination i could have exposed their true colours like the insides of a rotting watermelon.
Rhetoric is an air balloon. The key is action. Can people like Godfrey Pereira be a part of the action to fight what ails Goa? That is a big joke nobody would like to laugh at.
I am fighting almost a lone battle to protect some semblance of sanity in virgin Galgibaga even despite anonymous notes with threat to my life. A nine hole Gulf Corse in sacred Talpona, beach shacks on turtle paradise Galgibaga, unchecked wildlife hunting, pollution, Isreali and Russian drug barons making merry, white skin flesh for sale. And AIDS is not far. I would be happy to be proved wrong.
