You do not know me, but I have always thought well about Goan writers in general, including you. There may be a possibility where "Paltadacho" may have some credence among a small group of Goans. And even if there was, how many people would know?. People barely have a grip on the language, I mean other than some heavies and those of us who stick to it with the tenacity of a pit-bull. But still, why point out a realtionship between Art and literature and low-level provincial politics. Is there even a higher-level of provincial politics in the land?
Does it behoove you to do so? Come on. Why get into this? How is it absurd? The man is making a point and truly a worthy one. Was it the possibility of boycott that bothered you, but still Floriano makes sense. So negotiate differently. I am aware that you have the chops for it.
Asking if one has seen the movie, is basically stopping the possibility of a gracious correction which would raise the physical estate of the filmmaker to another level. Truly. People have been proud of this film in the recent past, including Floriano if I am not mistaken. That correction could be made. I know a thing or two about such matters.
Btw, the only reason I am commenting is because I am 10,000 % positive that I have a reasonable grip on Konkani, although in the past I have been accused as not having a sense for it.

This is nothing short of absurd.
Have you seen the film? For once we have a Goan filmmaker who has defied all odds to make a really professional, sensitive film, shorn of all the filmi melodrama one sees even in 'parallel' Indian cinema, and you believe you have the right to challenge him on such a petty count?
Please keep your low-level provincial politics out of art and literature.
