The very mention of the name 'Vinod Khosla' made me sit-up. Hey, this is the man I have sailed with as the 'Chief Engineer' and who I have had the pleasure of visiting at his posh home at Greater Kailash II, New Delhi some 5 years ago to catch up with him, his wife and his two sailing kids, now grown up.
It is highly unlikely that the Vinod Khosla of my acquaintance and Vinod Khosla of 'Khosla Ventures' are one and the same person. In case they are, then it will be incumbent on me as his good friend to advise him to part company with Tony Blair and George W. Bush Jr. immediately for his own greater good.

Hi Eddie The details you provided regarding organisations working to put Blair (and hopefully others like Bush, as listed by George Pinto) on trial at the Hague for war crimes deserves our support. I had been unaware of the strong efforts made in Malaysia on this count.
Now, if you can provide the name and address of the channel that is on firm ground towards indicting Blair over Iraq, I should like to make a financial contribution towards such an end. I simply can't stand silent over the worst act of unwarranted naked aggression and devastation by Britain and America (since the Suez debacle), against millions of innocent Iraqis. In particular I am haunted over the unknown fate of many Iraqi academics I had met at international conferences over the years and Iraqi postgraduates I had taught in London on diploma, masters and doctoral programmes.
It is interesting to note the increased intensity in expressions against the Iraq war by those currently competing for the leadership of the Labour Party. Sincerely Cornel DaCosta

Thanks for that, George. The Guardian article doesn't say enough and I looked for more info at http://www.greenmom entum.com/ wb3/wb/gm/ gm_content? id_content= 5746 Here's what they add:
Khosla Ventures, a venture assistance firm that focuses on cleantech and information technology startups, today announced a strategic partnership with Tony Blair Associates. Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and his team will use his global connections to help Khosla's broad portfolio of clean technology. Founded by Vinod Khosla in 2004, Khosla Ventures is developing one of the largest, most diverse, and eclectic cleantech portfolios. Khosla Ventures views partnerships with large corporations, environmental and governmental organizations essential to maximizing its environmental impact. As part of the relationship, Blair accompanied Vinod Khosla yesterday to tour the Calera green cement demonstration plant in Moss Landing, Calif.
Tony Blair Associates will offer strategic advice to Khosla Ventures' green portfolio companies, drawing on his considerable geopolitical, political, organizational and environmental expertise. With Blair's support, Khosla Ventures will continue to foster innovations that can cost-effectively reduce carbon emissions ? in areas that include solar, batteries, biofuels, lighting, mechanical and energy efficiency, and building materials. Khosla dubs their area of focus "maintech" rather than "cleantech," as he believes the infrastructure of society will be substantially impacted by technologists and entrepreneurs supported by his and other similar portfolios.
"Solving the climate crisis is more than just a political agenda item - it's an urgent priority that requires innovation, creativity, and ambition," said Tony Blair. "I share a clear vision with Vinod, one of the earliest leaders in cleantech investment, that entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley and beyond will have a tremendous impact on our environmental future. Vinod's portfolio companies are galvanizing scientific and technological know-how into businesses that can make a huge difference in reducing carbon and other emissions, and I look forward to dedicating a portion of my time to help them move us toward a more sustainable tomorrow. The Khosla Ventures organization is particularly effective in assisting entrepreneurs to develop and deploy their technologies all over the world."
"I have always admired Blair's early and consistent commitment to addressing climate change," said Khosla. "His goals align so well with our own mission to support disruptive startups in the cleantech space and to find technology solutions that can achieve unsubsidized market competitiveness for green technologies. .." ------------ --------- ------ My note: What Khosla may not know or care about is that Blair is being pursued by activists in various parts of the world (including the UK) for a suitable opportunity to put Blair on trial for his war crimes in Iraq.
While on a speaking engagement in Malaysia, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair was the object of an articulate protest movement demanding his indictment for war crimes. A major initiative is led by the country's former Prime Minister, Dr. Mahathir Mohamad. A War Crimes Tribunal as well as a War Crimes Commission have been set up integrated by renowned jurists. Documentary evidence of war crimes committed by Blair and Bush has been carefully compiled and collected since 2006. The prosecution is led by several of Malaysia's most prominent lawyers.
