[SWORN] AFFIDAVIT
I, ASHLEY FRANCISCO GOMES son of ANTONIO LOURDES GOMES, aged about 43 years, resident of ‘GOMES HERITAGE’ Gauravaddo, Calangute Bardez Goa, Self Employed , Registered Voter listed at Serial Number 265 of Part No. 16 of 08- CALANGUTE Constituency, do hereby solemnly affirm that :
(1) I am DESIROUS of contesting the 08-CALANGUTE Legislative Assembly Seat in the forthcoming Goa Legislative Assembly Elections to be held on March 3, 2012 , on the TICKET of GOA SU-RAJ PARTY , registered with the Election Commission of India, and which Party is guided by it’s CONSTITUTION’ and it’s ‘PERMANENT MANIFESTO’ going under the name and style of Goa Su-Raj Party’s ‘ROAD MAP FOR GOA’ , compiled , constituted and released on 20th. August, 2005, which TICKET has been CLEARED and ENDORSED by the registered People’s Organization, the ‘GOEMCHEA RAKHONDHARANCHO AWAZ-GRA’ having the registration No. 549/Goa/2011.
(2) The GOA SU-RAJ PARTY and the GOEMCHEA RAKHONDARANCHO AWAZ have jointly agreed to have me contest the ‘ 08-CALANGUTE Assembly Seat under their distinctive individual ‘BANNERS’ on the following terms and conditions which I have pledged to abide by and/or comply with before the elections and more specifically after the elections should I win the 08- CALANGUTE Seat, that:
(a) I have read and understood the CONSTITUTION of GOA SU-RAJ PARTY , specifically the Articles 34, 37, 38, 40 and 41.
(b) I have read and understood the GOA SU-RAJ PARTY’S permanent Manifesto the ‘ROAD MAP FOR GOA’.
(c) I have read and understood the Aims & Objectives of the ‘GOEMCHEA RAKHONDARANCHO AWAZ – GRA, specifically the item of the Aims and Objectives at (b) therein.
(d) I have understood that I shall not ‘GET’, nor shall I ‘DEMAND’ the SECOND TERM as MLA should I be elected but go with the CWC’s [Constituency Working Committee] decision on the Second Term. However I agree to the Party’s steadfast declaration that it’s MLAs shall not get to contest 3rd. consecutive terms as MLAs.
(e) I declare that I shall not spend my own money for my election campaign but I shall work with my campaign team as well as the team provided by the above two Organizations to raise the necessary funds to fund my Election Campaign, including the payment of my Election Deposit with the Returning Officer from within the Constituency by involving the people of the Constituency on a participatory basis.
(f) I respect the Goa Su-Raj Party’s views on non-cultivation of vote banks within the constituency and I shall abide by these views.
(g) I shall not promote and/or organize any ‘RELIGIOUS’ activities during and after elections (should I win), to respect the Party’s views on segregating ‘religion’ from ‘ active politics’.
(h) I shall actively work towards the setting-up of the ‘Constituency Working Committee’ [CWC] in the ‘ 08- Calangute ’ Constituency as according the Article 19 (iii & iv) of the Constitution of the Party.
(i) I have read and understood the document called the ‘PARTY’s expanded ‘PRESENTATION’ and I shall abide by the procedures laid there-under, ‘BEFORE’ and ‘AFTER’ Elections.
(j) I shall not withdraw my nomination papers filed by me with the Returning Officer at any time of my own free will or of my own accord. Should the question of the withdrawal of my nomination papers crop up at any given time, the GSRP and the GRA, on whose joint Ticket I shall contest, will decide what is best under the circumstances and in the best interest of Goa and Goans and I shall accede to that decision.
DECLARATION
I hereby declare that I have signed this Affidavit with full knowledge of and with full agreement with the above Clauses (1) & (2)(a to j) and I say that whatever that I have stated is true to the best of my knowledge and which I believe to be true.
